MHS MOBILE DENTAL: Additional Information
MHS was the FIRST full-time Mississippi-based mobile dental provider in this state. We are currently the largest (2 full time teams) and longest running dedicated mobile dental provider in Mississippi.
- MHS Mobile Dental has provided over 168,000 on-site preventative mobile dental care patient encounters/visits to under-served Mississippi children since 2010.
- MHS has provided over $13.9 Million in FREE/IN-KIND preventative services to Mississippi children since we started this program.
- We average providing care to approximately 16 uninsured children or children with no dental benefits every day that we work in schools, head start centers, boys & girls clubs, and other youth programs.
- Annually, MHS Mobile Dental provides preventative dental care services to approximately 12,000 children of which approximately over 4,000 of them are uninsured and received free dental care treatment.
- MHS Mobile Dental is FULL-TIME and is dedicated to providing Mississippi's children with quality dental care access. Since our inception, we have worked on-site in schools and youth centers for over 3,400 days providing access to quality preventative dental care.
- MHS Mobile Dental fully supports and abides by the state laws, specifically Regulation 61, put forth by the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners to govern the mobile/portable dental activities in the state of Mississippi. We are approved and in good standing with this regulation.
