About Our Partnership with a General Dentist Provider for Braces
MHS Mobile Dental is the dental partner for over 25 school districts in Mississippi. MHS offers access to preventative dental care at all the schools in every school district partner annually. Now MHS is able to offer another benefit of this oral healthcare program to the students and families of the district. MHS has partnered with General Dentist Richard A. Williams D.M.D. of Avalon Smiles Dental Clinic to offer an option for braces.
Dr. Williams' clinic (Avalon Smiles) is unique in that his clinic’s only dental services offered is providing braces for ONLY Medicaid participants (Medicaid, MS Can, MS Chip) or Uninsured patients. For those patients who are uninsured without any dental insurance coverage, Dr. Williams (Avalon Smiles) will finance the braces and will use Medicaid rates.
With access to braces being more difficult for Medicaid patients than those with private insurance and very costly for those who are uninsured, MHS believes this could be an option for many families.
